Canadian Shows should...

  • So, I was talking to someone from Australia who has seen Simple Plan many times, and they have shows for ages 18+.
Why do we not do this here?? I understand music is for all ages, I respect that, I enjoyed going to SP shows when I was 11, 12, and so on. But, I'll be 21 this year and sometimes it's nice to hang out at shows with people closer to your age.
I think Canadian shows should be treated the same as Australian shows. Have a show for all ages, as well as 18+. Just a suggestion. <3

Agreed

Allo Krystal

I agree there should be the chance for 18+ shows in Canada, I too am almost 21 and would love this opportunity.

However I also understand why they can't do that here. The North American market is so valuable to a band, especially like SP who started in Canada that if they start to discriminate against their younger fans they could lose some of that crazy teenage girl support that so valuable in today's market right?

I totally vote for a small sleezy pub set one night where we can buy them all beers and sit and hang out and play for a while though. That would be a good night :)

That would be enjoyable I

That would be enjoyable I think...But I think its not really fair...In the sense of They would have to do double tours in each city. And one: I would want to ask the guys to tour more than they need be...some have built families, and two: they may be do an 18+ concert for one city, and not do an -18 concert...which would suck for those younger fans.

Even tomorrow Im going to a The New Cities concert, but it's 18+ which is fine with me cause Im 23. But my sister hasnt had the time or money to get a new ID so she cant go...and shes 28.

But yes I do understand, I went to Avril last year to see The New Cities, and the little 10-14 year old girls in tutus and screaming so high pitch made me just want to punch a baby (which is sad, cause I love babies). And most have never been to a concert, and it made it less enjoyable for me, cause after a while its like "Come ON! Just stop! You are doing this now, cause you KNOW you are annoying everyone around you! She NOT even OUT YET!"

So probably I just gave all my pros and cons. lol.
